Disaster Action Team Members
Mutually agreed upon shift/s per month (in your area; state-wide)
Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DATs), are made up of local, dedicated volunteers, prepared to offer assistance during a local time of need and respond to possibly the toughest times individuals or families may face. We have volunteer teams at the ready by day and night, 365 days a year. Volunteers, like you, turn tragedy into hope in the case of home fires, storms or floods. Be the Friendly Face at Your Local Blood Drive
As a blood drive volunteer in your local area, you'll be asked to serve just once every three months. While it may not be frequent, it truly is important, and it provides a wonderful opportunity to form meaningful relationships with the donors. Your role as a volunteer involves warmly greeting donors and ensuring their comfort during their visit. After their donation, you'll make sure they have access to refreshments and engage in friendly conversations. As they prepare to leave, you'll likely be the last Red Crosser to thank them and tell them you hope to see them next time.
